Learn Guitar Lessons - Song Writing Part Nine - Pre-Hooks and Bridges

Pre-Hook and bridges enable Guitar Songs to be more interesting and less repetitive. Let us look at the functions of each.

Pre-hooks are basically a separate part of the melody and lyrics that lead to the chorus part, so that the Chorus itself does not become too repetitive or dosadno.Pre-hook sounds like it could be a separate part of the chorus together - let us try the same song we wrote in our article writing eight tracks - where we talked about the role of line, hooks and choir parts in building a guitar song:

Our songs deal with the first two verses and a chorus part, let us now add a third verse, and add Pre-hook before the chorus part after verse one three:

Verse three:

Verse three:...
Far from the poor lonely me - more than great - deep blue sea
Yes, Suzie left-navigation to my Johnny - navigation
If not Susie or Johnny - you should never care (dare) to be

Pre-Chorus:
For - Johnny and I were lovers - that Johnny and I were lovers
Long before Johnny and Suzie from the sail - the great big seas
And that -

Chorus:
I think there is a hole in it - I'm sure there is a hole in it
Where there is no hole should ever be - there is no hole can never
Where there is no hole should ever be - there is no hole can never...
For my Johnny and his new love - somewhere in the deep, dark blue sea ...

repeat first chorus (see song writing Part 8)

As mentioned, you can change the text in the chorus part, but not too drastically, as you still want your audience or listeners to sing along with the recognizable melody line and chorus-temu.Pre therefore acts as an interesting lead to I refrain. Sometimes before the assembly can only be a good guitar riff, without a word.

Most guitar songs is where you as a song-writer can get really creative, and if you've mastered your chord progressions and understand all the components of writing songs, and therefore can now add a few more lyrical lines, or even the melodic notes, that breaks the full range of verse, chorus, verse, pre-hook, by adding a new segment, which, if used wisely, can build interest and suspense, so that the listener wants to hear more, rather than getting too bored with predictable melodies and lyrical meter format. Again, this can be instrumental to bring fine - so good to use Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits, that, although different from the rest of the songs, still has enough melody line in you tapping out the same rhythm and beat, so that when the normal line and the melody line to drop again, it was a natural transition to the ear (and tapping feet !)

Most commonly occurs in half to two-thirds of the way in pjesmi.Sličan trick in three guitar chord progressions are often used in Country Music where key chord progression sequence is changed halfway through pjesmu.Primjer would be "Me and Bobby McGee, "where in the first half of the game in the second half of the AED in a series of DGA chord that breaks the boredom of the verse, chorus, verse form - if there's only a three-chord progression form.

Listen to a wide range of artists writing songs as you can - and try to pick out different parts of their songs. You'll find it all there in one form or another: Verse, Pre-Hook Chorus (Hook), and often but not always, most of the

Until next time.
